Hotel lobby video AI: what the trend is

The original is "HOTEL LOBBY (Unc & Phew)", performed by Quavo and Takeoff of Migos for COLORS in 2022. It is shot against an orange backdrop with a microphone hanging overhead (revolt.tv and blackamericaweb.com, search results read 12 Oct 2026). Some vendors call the trend the Migos trend.

The AI trend puts two people, pets or characters into that orange booth, built from two photos.

What we know about timing:

• Our keyword data shows the AI trend burst on 22 Sep 2026 and peaked on 25 Sep.
• Search results say Quavo reposted the untouched original on 23 Sep 2026 with the caption "The Original!!!".
• Search results say Victoria Monét performed the song with Quavo on 1 Oct 2026, without AI.
• Raindance-ai.org lists the AI trend as "Cooling off" as of 10 Oct 2026.
• In our latest reading the trend was about a twentieth of its peak.

Not confirmed: the original's view count. One report cites over 123 million YouTube views; we could not confirm it.

No example prompt for this meme was found in any source we checked in our own research, so a DIY route means writing and testing your own. You also need to handle the second face: two photos, two people, and the model must keep them apart.

What photos to upload

• Two photos, one person (or pet, or character) in each. Clear, sharp, face in view.
• JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, between 300 and 6,000 px on each side, and between 0.4 and 2.5 times as wide as it is tall.
• Do not use group photos. Each face needs its own picture.
• Both people must agree to appear. No photos of children. Pets are fine.
• Public figures may appear only as clear parody, at your own risk.
• Photos are not public. For a paid order they are kept while the clip is made and deleted with the video 7 days after delivery. Our model provider says it keeps its own copies for about 14 days.

Tips for a better clip

• Pick two photos with similar framing: both chest-up, or both full-length. Mixed framing makes the booth scene harder to match.
• Put pets in the shot as the whole animal, face visible.
• If you want a person and a pet, keep the pet in its own photo. One photo with two subjects is treated as a group photo.
• Check both people's faces against their photos before you post. If one face drifts, order again with a clearer photo. If a face is clearly not the person or pet in your photo, write to us and we review it by hand.

What can go wrong, and how to fix it

• The faces do not look like the people. The model rebuilds two faces from two photos, so likeness is not guaranteed. Use clear, evenly lit portraits.
• The two people look alike. Pick photos with different hair, clothes and background colour so the model can tell them apart.
• The clip has no sound. On purpose. See below.
• It takes long. Up to 30 minutes at peak. After that, its credits go back to your account.

Add the sound and post to TikTok

Our clip is silent because sound is licensed separately. Add the trend's sound from TikTok's or CapCut's library when you post; that is the licensed route. TikTok's help page explains how to add a sound.

Some vendors keep the original soundtrack: hotellobbyvideo.com lets you keep it or pick a silent freestyle. We did not check the music rights, so check them before you post it in an ad.

Say the clip is AI-made. Make sure both people said yes.

Is the trend still going?
