Privacy

This page says what we collect when you order a clip, where your photo goes, how long we keep each file, and what we do not do. It describes the code as it runs; if it changes, this page changes with it.

What we collect

• The photo or photos you upload, for the clip you order.
• The order: the trend, the quality you chose (480p or 720p HD), the price, the order id, and the status of the order and its clip.
• Payment is taken by Waffo on its hosted checkout page, as merchant of record. Card details go to Waffo, not to us. We keep what we need to match a payment to an order: the amount, the currency and Waffo's payment identifiers.
• Request logs: our host, Cloudflare, logs each request to the site, with its address, user agent and network. The redirect at /go/ stores nothing else.
• An address hash: to limit how many orders one visitor can place in an hour, we keep a truncated hash of your address, not the address itself.
• A credit pack's wallet: its credit balance, a list of its credit movements (pack bought, clip made, credits returned or refunded), and the buyer's email when Waffo's payment notice includes it. We use that email only to find a wallet when you write to us for support; no page shows it.

Where your photo goes

Your photo is stored in Cloudflare R2, and it is sent to Kie.ai, which fetches it from our address and uses it to generate your clip. Kie.ai's documentation says it keeps files for about 14 days on its side, so its copies can outlast ours. Waffo handles the payment.

How long we keep things

• Photos of a paid order are kept while the clip is made, and deleted with the video 7 days after delivery.
• Photos of an unpaid order are deleted when the order expires, 24 hours after it was placed.
• Photos of a failed or refunded order are deleted 7 days after the order failed or was refunded.
• The finished video is kept for 7 days after delivery, then deleted with the order's photos.
• The order record (the order id, trend, quality, price, status and payment identifiers) is kept after the files are deleted, for accounting. It is marked purged.
• A credit pack's wallet (balance, credit movements and any buyer email) has no expiry date, because credits never expire. Write to us to have it deleted.

No accounts, no analytics

There are no accounts and no sign-up. The site runs no analytics. The only cookie, trm_wallet, is set when a browser buys a credit pack or opens a wallet link. It holds the wallet's identifier and lets that browser use the credits on the make page. The wallet link is the key to its credits. The order id in your order link is the only key to your order: anyone who has that link can see the order, pay it, and download the video. Keep both links private.

Fonts and links

The page loads the Bricolage Grotesque typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes one request to Google's font servers. Links to vendors go through our own redirect at /go/, and those visits appear in the request log described above.

Who handles what

• Waffo: payment, as merchant of record.
• Kie.ai: generates the clip from your photo and the reference clip.
• Cloudflare: hosts the site and the order service, and logs requests.
