- What it is: the Ramalama AI video, a low-angle costume walk. Boots step toward the camera, the shot tilts up, and the full costume and face appear on the beat of "Ramalama (Bang Bang)".
- Photos: one photo of you at media.io. Makeviral.ai's template takes a pet photo only.
- Here: we cannot make this one yet. Our price: Not yet available.
- Where to make it now: media.io for people (price not stated; free credits on signup), makeviral.ai for pets (180 credits a video). Checked 13 Oct 2026.
What the Ramalama AI video trend is
The real trend is simple. You film your own feet or legs walking toward a low phone, in time with the beat. When the vocals change, you reveal your full outfit or Halloween costume. The AI version builds that clip from a photo.
What we could check:
- The song is "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" by Róisín Murphy, released in 2005 on her debut solo album Ruby Blue, made with Matthew Herbert (RouteNote).
- RouteNote says versions of the walk appeared in summer 2025 (one documented example in late July), became Halloween outfits by early October 2025, and gained major momentum around Halloween 2025. It says Murphy joined the trend that October. It also says the trend is surging again in October 2026 and quotes a tracker at about 430,700 videos on the sound. We could not check that tracker, so treat the number as unverified.
- Raindance-ai.org (10 Oct 2026) lists it as "Hot", rank 3 of 17, and says interest should keep climbing until 31 October. This is one vendor's view.
- Makeviral.ai says its pet template copies an AI kitten reel by @fullcatalchemist, posted on TikTok on 9 October 2026. We could not find that account or video in a search, so we have not confirmed it.
- Origin post of the human AI version: origin post not found.
- Know Your Meme: our search found no entry (13 Oct 2026).

What happens in the clip
- A low, slow shot of shoes or boots walking toward the camera.
- The shot tilts up, past a cape or hem, to the full body.
- On the beat drop, the face is revealed. In makeviral.ai's pet clip the costume changes at each cut: witch, then vampire, then bat.
Photos you need
- Media.io (people): one still photo, full-body or half-body. Couples and groups are supported, per the page.
- Makeviral.ai (pets): one photo of your pet, whole animal in view, sharp, good light, eyes open, no costume or filter. Cats match the reel most closely.
- Raindance-ai.org says the trend uses one photo, or two for a couple.
- Use yourself or adults who agreed. No children; public figures only as clear parody, at your own risk.
Song and rights
The song belongs to Róisín Murphy and her label. Neither template site grants rights to it. Makeviral.ai includes 15 seconds of the song and lets you turn it off. Media.io says to add the trending audio when you post. If you post to TikTok or Reels, use the platform's own sound library. For ads or paid posts, check the music rules first.

Free preview: media.io says "free credits on signup"; makeviral.ai states none.
What goes wrong
- The costume does not match the photo. Use a clear full-body or half-body shot; hats and filters make it worse.
- A pet photo with a costume on confuses the reveal. Makeviral.ai asks for no costume, hat or filter.
- Muted sound. Platforms may mute tracks they do not license. Use their sound library.
- You expected your real face. Media.io says it keeps facial likeness; likeness is never guaranteed.
- Filming your own version? Makeviral.ai's tip: prop the phone low, walk slowly on the beat, tilt up to reveal the costume, skip text and talking.
Timeline
- Summer 2025: first walking versions (RouteNote; one example from late July 2025).
- Oct 2025: Halloween costume versions; Murphy joins in (RouteNote).
- 3 and 4 Oct 2026: RouteNote says the largest new costume clips arrive.
- 9 Oct 2026: AI kitten reel posted, per makeviral.ai (unconfirmed by us).
- 11 Oct 2026: makeviral.ai page dated in its sitemap.
- 31 Oct 2026: Halloween. Expect interest to fall soon after (our reading of the seasonal pattern, not a source).
